The Port of Brisbane is one of Australia’s fastest growing container ports and the state’s largest multi-cargo port with over 2700 vessels berthed annually. It is located at the mouth of Brisbane River and is managed and developed by Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd (PBPL) under a 99-year lease form the Queensland Government.
With a history of in-concrete impressed current cathodic protection systems that date back to the mid-nineties, the decision was made to extend the service of the critical elements of Berth 1-3. Freyssinet was awarded the contract for these specialised ICCP works due to numerous projects complete for PBPL over the years.
