- Concrete removal with hydro demolition methods
- Concrete and reinforcement reinstatement via form and pour, as well as shotcrete
- Installation of Impressed Cathodic Protection System (ICCP) and anode replacement of existing anode system
- Repair, reinstatement and commissioning of Hybrid Cathodic Protection components affected during demolition activities.
- Implementation of project-specific safety, quality, and environmental management plans, along with a COVID-19 Management Plan at the height of the pandemic.
Freyssinet was engaged by BHP / BM Alliance Coal Operations Pty Ltd to undertake remedial works on the caisson columns supporting Berth 2 at Hay Point as part of a broader capital improvement program. The project focused on repairing void defects within the columns and installing a Cathodic Protection system to extend structural durability and deliver a further 40-year design life.
