- Installation of an access system – scaffold for 25% of the building at one time and mast climber
- Removal and reinstatement of 25mm of concrete on the whole facade of the building (3,600m2), using dry spraying methods,
- Removal and reinstatement of all windows and doors, waterproofing, screeding and tiling of all balconies and external areas,
- Application of a Rockcote acrylic render and Dulux paint system on the whole facade,
- Works conducted on a 6-day working week to ensure 4 to 6 units are vacated at a time with focus on noise and dust control
The 9-storey HQ apartment complex faced significant issues due to poor-quality materials (magnesium oxychloride boards) and substandard workmanship (insufficient concrete vibration between boards), leading to weatherproofing defects.
Our team was involved in all aspects of the project, from collaborating with the consultants during the design phase to overseeing construction and commissioning, ensuring the final outcome met the client’s expectations. A unique challenge was the project’s timing—the project began in February 2020, coinciding with the COVID-19 outbreak, which required adapting methodologies to minimise disturbances such as noise and dust while tenants were confined to their homes.
