The Gorgon LNG Project is recognised as one of the world’s largest and most complex liquefied natural gas developments and the most significant single resources investment in Australia’s history. Located on Barrow Island, the project includes the construction of two full‑containment LNG storage tanks, each with a capacity of 180,000 m³ and an 85‑metre diameter, alongside four 60‑metre‑diameter condensate tanks. Delivering infrastructure of this scale demanded exceptional engineering precision, robust materials, and specialised construction techniques to meet strict performance, safety, and environmental requirements.
