Garden Island Defence Precinct (GIDP) project involves the reinstatement/remediation works the wharves and infrastructure, and in turn providing fit-for purpose, compliant facilities, wharves and infrastructure at the lowest possible whole of life cost to the Common-wealth.

Freyssinet Scope

Remediation works to kidney bollards (100ft rated) including removal of bollards and coating works. Freyssinet used a crane able scaffold system to move from bollard to bollard that also formed as the frame for encapsulation
Remediation works to Piles, pile heads, and concrete wharf structure (800 m2 of concrete repair & 6800 Galvashield Anodes and application of silane protection on the wharf structur
Supply & Install of new Submarine Fender frames and backing plates. Installation of new foam filled fenders
Blast & Paint of Wharf Infrastructure including steel piles
Installation of Pile jacketing, Supply & Install of Traffic Bollards and Timber/Concrete kerbs, Removal & disposal of timber piles
Installation of water based MMO anodes, cable ladders, cabling, junction boxes and TRUs
Continuous coordination between Lendlease, other subcontractors and navy ship movements and executing works safely and as per scheduled program.
