Seismic Protection Devices
Our technical teams will assist you to:
- Analyse the seismic behaviour of your structure
- Select the appropriate protection solution
We make this dual expertise available to structural designers and clients, providing them with practical solutions to optimize the overall cost of the structure and minimise the seismic risks of their infrastructure project.
ISOSISM® damping systems allow to dissipate part of the energy generated by an earthquake so as to minimize its impact on the structures. They are particularly effective under quick stresses (earthquakes, boat impacts, etc) and offer very low resistance to slow movements under service conditions. They can be used in combination with an isolation system, especially High Damping Rubber Bearings, to reduce structural displacement while limiting the stresses to which structures are subjected.
ISOSISM® isolation systems increase the fundamental period of vibration of the structure to be protected. They reduce the response to seismic acceleration, which is reduced by a factor of two to three.
ISOSISM® Shock Transmission Unit (STU) is used to connect buildings together, or to create a fixed point on a civil engineering structure in the event of an earthquake, emergency braking by a high-speed train or gale.
The ISOSISM® SFX joint is a supported mat joint in which movement imposed by the main structure is absorbed by deformation of the elastomeric sections.
From proposing a seismic protection strategy to delivering and installing systems designed, manufactured and tested in-house, we offer turnkey solutions for retrofit, seismic strengthening and post-earthquake repair projects of existing structures.
