Our Solutions
We employ traditional concrete repair techniques for restoring concrete encasements, ensuring effective and reliable repairs. For projects requiring rapid and high-strength results, we use ultra-strength or Ultra High-Performance Concrete. These advanced materials provide exceptional durability and strength, meeting the demands of early and high-performance requirements.
Our teams design corrosion protection solutions that include the application of cathodic protection systems, sacrificial anodes, and corrosion-resistant coatings. These measures prevent degradation caused by environmental factors, extend the life of concrete structures, and ensure optimal performance. The teams can conduct these works in a targeted approach of only a few m2 as well as large scale applications over several kilometers of infrastructure.
We offer refurbishment or replacement of steel or timber saddles while the pipeline remains operational. Utilising Freyssinet’s specialised lifting techniques and equipment, we securely support the pipeline to facilitate the replacement of bearings or steel supports, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Freyssinet also has specialised designs for new Bearing Saddles for pipelines better suited to remedial/ replacement works. Freyssinet is able to remediate existing bearings and saddles either on site or in our Sydney Blasting and Painting Workshop.
We expertly remove existing coatings, even in the presence of lead and asbestos, achieving any class of surface preparation finish required.. We utilise methods such as abrasive blasting, chemical removal, power tool and heat induction to remove the existing coatings. Our approach can be targeted to a small area which require other remedial works (Cathodic Protection or overplating/ joint repair) or it can be a full scale remediation providing asset renewal through a new protective coating, lining or wrapping system resulting in 20+ years of new asset life.
Freyssinet can remediate existing pipeline joints by combining our above mentioned skillsets. By utilising our targeted Coatings remediation techniques we can clean a pipeline joint for structural inspection, upgrade the coatings and install a structural clamp to prevent leaks, stress damage and coating failure at the joint. Our teams can perform joint welding as well as clamping works to assist with concrete encasement works.
