Cooling towers play a crucial role in condensing steam back into water for reuse in electricity generation. As part of Stanwell’s year-round maintenance program, Freyssinet was engaged to repair and reinforce the rim of a Queensland cooling tower. The project required a specialised access system, including an inclined hoist, to safely reach the top of the 116-metre high structure. All works were successfully completed while the cooling tower remained fully operational.
