As part of the Woolgoolga to Ballina Pacific Highway upgrade, RMS planned a new bridge over the Clarence River at Harwood to improve connectivity and safety. The new structure spans 1.5 km, sits 20 metres east of the existing bridge, and features four traffic lanes. It comprises 36 piers – 23 on land and 13 over water – and 144 concrete girders weighing approximately 168 tonnes each, with a span length of 41 metres and a 30-metre clearance at mid-river. Freyssinet Australia was engaged to supply critical bridge components, ensuring quality and timely delivery for this major infrastructure project.
