The Causeway Link Pedestrian & Cyclist Bridges consists of 2-off cable stay steel bridges, the McCallum Park Bridge and the Point Fraser Bridge, which together along with overland approach paths will link Perth CBD to McCallum Park via Heirisson Island.
The bridges are supported by stay cables that are attached to steel pylons that in turn are supported by pile caps in the river. There are 2-off pylons for the McCallum Park Bridge and 1-off pylon for the Point Fraser Bridge. 17 000 lights are installed at the stays, turning the bridges into enormous LED screens and dominant city attraction at nighttime.
