Vopak Pipeline Patrol & Cathodic Protection

Description:

Freyssinet Australia was contracted to Vopak Terminals Australia Pty Ltd to patrol and maintain the following pipelines:

  • 300mm Jet Fuel & Airline Services Pipelines
  • 350mm High Pressure Multi Products Pipeline
  • Vopak Site B to Caltex Banksmeadow Terminal
  • Wharf Lines 4 & 5, BLB 2 to Vopak Terminal
  • Bitumen Pipeline

Being buried underground, these pipelines are mainly invisible, except for the necessary warning signs which are placed at intervals along the route to inform any parties (such as persons excavating in the vicinity) of their presence. These pipelines are patrolled weekly, to ensure that no activities are being carried out over the pipelines’ easement which could hinder the pipelines’ operations/maintenance.

Key Aspects:
Weekly pipeline surveillance patrols.
Cathodic protection major survey.
Work supervision for third party activities within the vicinity of pipeline.
Daily “Dial Before You Dig” services.
Maintenance works as required.
